About Us
Our Story
To work for the upliftment of the farmers through dairy activities an NGO named “Kamdhenu Hitkari Manch” was registered under the Society Registration Act 1860 and started functioning in Oct 2001 with the collection of 37 liters of milk per day from 8-10 families. In the beginning, the Group faced many difficulties, but after some time there was an increase in the quantity of milk production, milk producer families, and also the number of consumers. Presently there are 4500 milk Producer families of 350 villages of 65 Gram-Panchayat of Distt. Bilaspur & Distt. Solan is associated with our organization having more than 30,000 liters of milk Collection per day.
Installation of Milk Pasteurization Plant
In the beginning of the year 2009 the Milk collection of our organisation was approximately 3000 litres per day from about 700 families of fifteen Gram Panchayats of this area, but there were some notable problems which our N.G.O. was facing e.g. proper space/building was not there, from where the activities can be launched smoothly and second major problem was that although the people of this area was ready to increase the milk production and due to short-self life of milk, the NGO was unable to collect/purchase more quantity due to non-availability of milk Pasteurization Plant.

Kamdhenu Hitkari Manch has awarded “Himachal Gaurav Puraskaar” by Himachal Pradesh Govt. on 15th April, 2012 for doing excellent work for the upliftment of rural community.
Winner of Gopal Rattan Purskar and starting a chain of café & restaurants
Kamdhenu Hitkari Manch has awarded first prize in the category of “Best Milk Co-Operatives” by prestigious “Gopal Rattan Purskar” by Govt. of India on 26th Nov., 2021 for its contribution to the farmer community of Distt. Bilaspur and Distt. Solan of Himchal Pradesh.
